I consider myself a curious person with two main interests: love and meaning. I want to share my thoughts, feelings and life experiences with you to enrich and be enriched.
I work with individuals and couples and teach with a client-centered approach based on acceptance, empathy and authenticity and the principles of mindfulness, awareness, and compassion. I aim for my clients to experience the joy and fulfillment of authenticity and real, deep relationships, personal and professional (I don’t see the difference).
Human nature has always interested me. Ever since I was a child I have felt a deep curiosity for life. Why we are here, how we relate to one another, what moves us, what is the meaning of our existence, what is happiness all about. I’m fascinated by the power of love, and I wholeheartedly believe our main goal as humans is to expand our capacity to love, to learn how to love others and ourselves which implies acceptance, openness, and courage.
I earned a Master’s Degree in Counselling from the Universidad Ramon Llull in Barcelona and have since explored different avenues for personal development including meditation, the expressive Arts, yoga and Qigong. I studied acting at Cristina Rota, a school of dramatic Arts in Madrid and was also part of an amateur drama company. I have always loved dance and expressive movement and have taught belly dance to women as a way of helping them develop their self-esteem.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences from the Universidad Complutense in Madrid and was trained in compassionate communication as developed by Marshall Rosenberg. I also have a deep interest in myths, symbols, dreams, and fairy tales. (see my workshops section). I have also studied Human Biography, the spiritual science of Anthroposophy as developed by the philosopher Rudolf Steiner.
I spent three years studying the method of Family Constellations as developed by Bert Hellinger. From a spiritual perspective, your family is not a random occurrence; the family you belong is meant to teach you lessons to contribute to your growth. I help my clients understand their place within their family and the implications of traumas and losses that can be carried on from one generation to the next.
I’m from Madrid, Spain. I’m a native Spanish speaker, fluent in English and can speak some French as well.
I am the mother of three children and consider them my spiritual masters. They have given me the strength to question my old beliefs and to be humble enough to search for different ways of approaching life. I keep learning from them.
I’ve been married 30 years and have had through my marriage the opportunity to learn a lot about my wounds and my hopes. My husband is half French, half American, born and raised in Mexico, which possibly helps explains my interest in understanding other cultures and ways of seeing the world. I loved the opportunity of living in Dubai and in California, which offered me the gift of learning and expanding my mind and my heart making room for other sensibilities and values.
From my perspective, life is a spiritual journey. If you understand that every relationship and every event in your life has a purpose you start to find meaning in daily challenges. Crises, depression, and fear are all part of this journey and they occur naturally in our lives.
”I am the bridge
that spans the abyss;
I am the unknown ladder
connecting heaven and earth.”
